Youth in Entrepreneurship Course

Project: In a city with high youth unemployment and few job oppotunities, gig jobs were necessary for social advancement. I partnered with several community organizations to organize and facilitate three separate courses of Construye Tus Sueños (Build Your Dreams, CTS), a program focused on developing youths’ entrepreneurial skills and ideas and transforming them into written business plans, ultimately generating economic activity. A total of 21 individuals ages 14-27 demonstrated improved knowledge in accounting, enhanced marketing knowledge and skills, better customer service practices, public speaking, and critical thinking skills. I also recruited and trained five business professionals to serve as co-facilitators and multipliers of the courses in their respective communities.
